The trail taken is an ancient national-route up Bárđardalur-valley, by Skjálfandafljót-river, called Bárđargata (“the road of Bárđur”). The trail lies is in the center of the Icelandic highlands, in Nýidalur-valley. This is the trail of trolls and outlaws in the most expansive continuous lava-field in the country, Ódáđahraun-desert, close to the biggest cinder-cone in Iceland and the biggest glacier Vatnajökull. This is a magnificent route that not many know about. Parts of the area are endangered by governmental plans produce hydro-electricity.

Food and provisions included (traditional Icelandic dishes). Mountain stretches and exercises.
